Job Summary

The Meat Manager ensures the stores meat department operates at the standards set by the company, driving sales and maximizing profitability. The Meat Manager delivers the highest level of customer service and satisfaction by following the companys meat merchandising plan and trimming /preparing standard cuts of meat as outlined in the Meat Cutter Resource Manual.

Responsibilities

Responsible for merchandising, pricing, ordering, and inventory control to maximize sales and gross profit

Supervises the meat team currently made up of 7 associates, including meat cutters, meat wrappers, lunch meat stock, and cleaning and sanitation

Create a team that works together

Schedules associates so department is well maintained for all customers at all times

Receives, inspects, and stores meat upon delivery, to maintain the cold chain and ensures meat quality

Ensures excellent sanitation and quality standards are met daily which adhere to Save A Lot policy

Qualifications

Experience in retail Meat Department Management

Ability to regularly lift 50lbs
