Technical Writer

Responsibilities:

Research, document, and develop detailed operator, maintenance, and troubleshooting procedures, checklists, technical specifications, alert bulletins, training materials, and other technical documents.

Collect and analyze technical data and publications, engineering drawings, test procedures, design specifications/documentation, and software description documents to gather appropriate technical information.

Develop documents in accordance with specified requirements and contractual obligations, including the creation of necessary illustrations, photographs, or other graphic representations.

Coordinate technical document reviews and approval signatures, ensuring compliance with security classification requirements.

Experience with Arbor text and Windchill is a plus.

Qualifications:

Associate's degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline or equivalent professional experience.

Basic technical understanding of military or commercial systems and technical writing/editing practices and standards.

Proficiency in computer-based tools for technical documentation production.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Ability to read/understand electronic schematics/mechanical drawings.

Experience with Arbor text, and windchill is highly desired.
