We are seeking a passionate and driven Senior Software Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of our data-driven solutions. We offer a challenging environment where you will have to grow, adapt, and use your skills consistently.

Who You Are:

As a Senior Software Engineer at Citian, you're a seasoned leader in software development with over 7 years of experience, including at least 2 years in senior or lead roles. You possess deep expertise in software engineering principles and have a proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions. Your extensive knowledge encompasses modern programming languages, object-oriented programming, high-performance distributed systems, data structures and algorithms, and operating systems. Additionally, you bring hands-on experience with professional-grade databases and large datasets in a Python/SQL environment. You thrive in dynamic environments, driving innovation, and collaboration to solve complex problems. You're a strategic thinker, adept at aligning engineering efforts with business objectives, and a mentor, nurturing talent to achieve collective success.

Expected Duties:

Lead the development of full-stack applications, web applications, and mobile applications, leveraging your expertise in modern web development tools.

Actively participate in all aspects of software engineering, operations, and deployments, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, operational software.

Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth within the team.

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align engineering efforts with product and business objectives.

Drive innovation and brainstorming sessions to tackle transportation engineering challenges and develop cutting-edge solutions.

Implement modern solutions and tools to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our software development processes.

Ensure the team meets tight deadlines and delivers high-quality software solutions consistently.

Scale yourself by effectively coordinating solutions for operational problems, bugs, requirements, and processes.

Required Skills & Experience:

7+ years of software development experience, with significant experience in senior or lead roles.

Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in full-stack software development, with an understanding of data science principles.

Proficiency in modern web development tools such as Typescript, React, Next.js, NodeJS, and Express.

Experience with professional-grade databases such as Snowflake.

Exceptional leadership and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to motivate teams, instill accountability, and optimize resources.

Understanding of computer science topics, including optimization, algorithms, AI/ML, and data modeling.

Familiarity with UX design principles and collaboration with design teams.

Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.

Strong work ethic, passion for continued growth, and commitment to excellence.
