Join a leading company specializing in global supply chain solutions as a Logistics Business Development Manager. This remote position requires candidates to be based near Newark, NJ or New York, NY, offering flexibility with a connection to major urban and business centers. You will be responsible for developing new business, expanding our services portfolio, and maintaining robust relationships in the market.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop new business in domestic and international ocean and airfreight markets.

Analyze customer logistics needs to create tailored solutions that uphold our commitment to service excellence.

Drive growth by offering comprehensive transportation solutions, including warehousing and distribution services.

Maintain and expand customer relationships within the assigned territory to ensure sustained business.

Execute targeted sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue goals.

Conduct cold calls, follow up on leads, and utilize networking skills to identify and secure new business opportunities.

Prepare and present sales proposals and executive presentations.

Participate actively in pricing analysis and sales meetings, and provide entertainment for key clients as required.

Manage Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for clients.

Requirements

Self-driven with excellent organizational and planning skills.

Strong background in sales within the transportation and logistics industry.

Established customer base with a robust network of contacts.

Proven track record of sales success.

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years of related experience in the industry.

Essential freight forwarding experience.

International business experience is a plus.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and Salesforce.

Effective networking and interpersonal skills; active participation in industry-related organizations is preferred.

Benefits

Salary Range: $69,000 - $95,000, plus a competitive commission structure.
