ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Assemble electro-mechanical product in accordance with engineering instructions, technical manuals, and training.

• Follow written instruction to execute tasking in a standard and repeatable manner.

• Perform wiring harness and cable assembly, including continuity checks on the final assemblies.

• Apply technical standards, such as J-STD-001 and IPC/WHMA-A-620, to work performed ensuring manufactured hardware complies.

• Ability to use small hand tools, calibrated equipment, soldering/desoldering equipment, and/or meters.

• Consistently complete records of work completed in line with good documentation practices.

• Requires strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Follows documented processes and procedures for proper handling of all material(s).

• Candidate must have a willingness to perform other tasks as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Education/Certification: High School Degree or equivalent.

Years of Experience: Minimum of 2 years of related experience or additional education.

• Experience with electronics or cable assemblies preferred.

• Experience with circuit board level soldering and desoldering preferred.

• Experience with masking, conformal coating, connector potting, component staking, or component bonding preferred.

• Must be responsible, self-motivated, and have a solid work ethic.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.

• Demonstrate dependability within a team to complete common goals.

• Basic ability in the utilization of computer software such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Occasionally lifting up 25lbs exertion. Standing or sitting for extended periods of time.

• Repetitive Motion: Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery.

• Visual Abilities: Average, ordinary, visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents, products, or operate machinery. Additionally, must be able to pass visual requirements per J-STD-001, including both near vision and color vision testing.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• ESD production environment. Some exposure to machine noise; hearing protection may be required.

• Overtime may be requested to fulfill needs.

• Primarily located in Chantilly with flexibility to occasionally work in Fairfax.
