SUMMARY

The Talent Acquisition and Recruitment Manager is primarily responsible for implementing talent acquisition strategies and managing the full life-cycle recruitment processes, the college internship program, and all employment operations.

The ideal candidate is a proactive, self-starter, preferably having worked in a recent, relevant role at another organization, and will have strong relationship and networking skills and a background in DE&I recruitment and sourcing strategies, including for college recruitment. To be successful in this role, you should be able to partner with managers to develop effective recruiting and sourcing strategies and nurture trusting relationships with potential hires – creating strong talent pipelines for future and current hiring needs. You will continuously source talent using diverse strategies, methods, and networks. You will ensure that candidates and internal stakeholders receive high-value experience at all touchpoints in the recruitment process.

In addition, you must be well-versed in utilizing systems/best practices for researching, approaching, and connecting with the right talent. You must have a thorough understanding of and stay up-to-date with relevant employment/labor laws, regulations, and market trends; ensure confidentiality of information; and possess effective program and time management skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Sourcing & Employer Brand Support – (20%)

Enhance and increase awareness of the Foundation’s employer brand by promoting our company culture, benefits, and brand to attract highly qualified candidates, working closely with our MarComm and Digital Strategy teams.

Cultivate a diverse talent community – potential candidates, industry professionals and other partnerships to actively build our database and proactively identify talent pipeline opportunities for future and current hiring needs.

Use channels like online professional and social media networks (e.g. LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter) to look for and connect with potential candidates and to interact with professionals.

Implement effective strategies for college recruitment and hard-to-fill positions.

Recruitment - (40%)

Enhance the overall candidate experience, measured via candidate satisfaction surveys.

Lead the recruitment process for all positions from start to finish, ensuring all steps of the process are successfully completed – from processing the job requisitions to the start of onboarding. This includes sourcing candidates, evaluating resumes, arranging interviews, making job offers, and conducting references and background checks.

Train managers and hiring teams on hiring processes.

Develop and manage job descriptions. Circulate, as needed.

Advertise jobs, including the use of job boards, social media, and other mediums.

Collaborate with hiring managers – at the initial intake call and during ongoing check-ins – to develop and execute recruitment plans and strategies to ensure hiring goals are met with the best talent.

Maintain all recruitment, source and employment resources for managers and applicants.

Maintain and update candidate databases and tracking systems.

Provide timely updates to candidates on their application status.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of talent acquisition best practices, regulations, and industry trends.

Ensure all recruitment activities are compliant with company policies and regulations.

Internship Program - (30%)

Cultivate and implement the internship program, successfully meeting all goals and deliverables.

Oversee all aspects of the internship program, including job descriptions, recruitment, sourcing, referring candidates, hiring, onboarding/learning, offboarding, and program compliance.

Develop strategies to attract students and fellows to the Foundation’s intern programs.

Oversee all aspects of campus/partner recruiting, including signing up for/attending virtual career fairs, screening students, and setting up interviews.

Advertise jobs, including using college job boards and social media (like Handshake, LinkedIn, Facebook, and other platforms).

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - (10%)

Assist the VP, HR with some compensation work related to the management of jobs data.

Distribute the weekly recruitment/staffing report.

Assists in the compilation of data for HR reporting needs, such as EEO-1 reporting.

Ensure confidentiality of files, records, and data, and use discretion in controlling access to and release of information.

Handle other special projects and HR administrative duties, as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

6+ years’ proven work experience as a recruiter/sourcing/employment specialist (with college recruiting/internship program experience).

Bachelors preferred. Experience or a combination of education/experience may substitute.

PHR or recruitment certification is strongly desired.

Ability to negotiate and sustain networking relationships.

Knowledge of talent acquisition best practices, regulations, and industry trends.

Knowledge and comprehension of employment, EEOC, labor regulations and applicable laws.

Hands-on experience with applicant tracking systems (ATSs), sourcing, vendor, and HR software. ADP WorkforceNow experience is strongly preferred.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Must have excellent follow-through and take initiative.

Reliable with adherence to confidentiality.

Proven ability to meet deadlines and fully comfortable with high work pressure.

Effective planning and priority setting.

Ability to view issues with impartiality.

OTHER SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision on assigned duties; a sense of ownership and urgency in completing assigned job duties is essential.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has no supervisory responsibilities/no direct reports.

TRAVEL, WORK ENVIRONMENT, AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This position requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Travel may occasionally be required for events or business meetings.

This position is expected to regularly attend Foundation meetings and trainings.

SALARY

$75,000 - 80,000
