Title: Manager – Communications, Outreach and Volunteers
Classification: Exempt
Reports to: Director, Community Engagement and Development
Job Summary: Promotes, supports, and advances the mission, vision and values of the agency through consistent, accurate and timely messaging, branding, and volunteer engagement. Manages outreach, communications and volunteers.
Job Responsibilities:
Designs and implements a content marketing plan to support IMPACT strategies, communications, community and public relations goals
Responsible for agency social media and website
Develops a strategic plan for partner coordination and marketing distribution and serves as point of contact for neighboring businesses, institutions, residents and others in assigned area
Provides graphic design support to team on internal brand/marketing and presentation materials
Initiates and supports opportunities to engage businesses and neighborhoods in community issues and concerns
Exhibit strong interpersonal skills and professionalism to effectively represent IMPACT Community Action in various settings, fostering positive relationships with the media, elected officials, donors, clients, partners, and stakeholders
Represents IMPACT Community Action at community events
Maintains consistent and reliable attendance, demonstrating punctuality and strong commitment to fulfilling work responsibilities on time
Represents IMPACT Community Action at community events
Triages communication emails and phone calls
Creates and manages a robust IMPACT volunteer program
Develops, manages, organizes and supports IMPACT-wide and Community Action-relevant events, meetings, and other activities promoting IMPACT programs or services
Experiments and creates strategies for the best growth tactics (e.g. email list, social media followers) to increase volunteer engagement, program recruitment and expand IMPACT’s mission
Manages the preparation and maintenance of reports necessary to carry out the functions of the department regarding CSBG and other funding sources, scheduled meetings of neighborhood associations, chambers of commerce, city councils, and other key associations and partners
Attends meetings in assigned area
Provides marketing and public relations support to programs and departments of IMPACT that adhere to IMPACT's brand standards and communications goals
Supports Director with the Marketing Committee
Performs other related duties as assigned
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
Standard office environment. Requires ability to operate telephone and personal computer for extended periods of time. Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. Frequent travel required within Franklin County.

Education and Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional certifications and/or experience
2-5 years' graphic design experience. Examples of work will be requested
2-5 years' minimum experience in nonprofit service; working with individuals with limited resources preferred
Must possess a valid Ohio Driver's License and have access to reliable transportation
