SMS Staffing Inc is Hiring Immediately for a skilled Forklift Driver!

Job Title: Forklift Driver I

Job Location: Altavista, VA, U.S.A. 24517

Job Type: Contract (possible extension or convert to hire)

Pay: $16.00 an hour

Shift Structure: ONSITE, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week

The role of the Forklift Driver:

Operate gasoline, diesel, electric, or propane-powered industrial trucks equipped with lifting devices such as forklifts, elevating platforms, or buckets to aid in loading and moving materials.

Safely and efficiently transport materials to designated areas within the facility.

Perform routine maintenance checks on forklift equipment and report any issues to the appropriate personnel.

Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.

Assist with other tasks within the warehouse or production facility as needed.

About the Forklift Driver:

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

0-1 years of previous experience operating forklifts or similar industrial equipment.

Valid forklift operator certification preferred but not required.

Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a fast-paced environment.

Strong attention to detail and focus on safety.
