What You'll Do:

On behalf of the Office of Community Schools provides oversight, technical assistance, and monitoring of community schools and sponsors in the following areas:

· Supervises Office of Community School employees;

· Recommends and implements office policies and procedures and guidelines for monitoring and providing technical assistance regarding school improvement and workforce development planning and implementation;

· Facilitates evaluation of workforce development and school improvement initiatives;

· Provides specialized program assistance to community schools and sponsors as requested;

· Analyzes data to determine areas of need for development of career and technical programs and graduation in community schools;

· Drafts reports of progress and data collection results for Office of Community Schools’ workforce development and improvement initiatives;

· Arranges training to sponsors and community schools regarding development of programs leading to a workforce credential and improvement initiatives;

· Facilitates stakeholder engagement with sponsors, community schools, management organizations, and other interested parties;

· Supervises programmatic reviews of community schools;

· Represent the Section Chief at meetings as requested;

· Performs other duties as assigned.

Unusual Working Conditions: Requires travel throughout State of Ohio & may require overnight stay. (Must be willing & able to secure a valid driver’s license OR supply your own transportation)

Completion of a graduate core program in one of the following areas (i.e., business administration, public administration, Juris Doctorate, economics, organizational development, public policy, workforce training and development); and 3 years of experience in program oversight or administration in a K-12 or higher education setting which must have included strategic planning, policy development, stakeholder engagement, developing workforce credential programs, dropout recovery programs, data analysis, developing and writing corrective action and continuous improvement plans, and sponsorship of community (charter) schools.

OR Completion of an undergraduate core program in one of the following areas (i.e., business administration, public administration, law, economics, communications, organizational development, public policy, workforce development); and 4 years of experience in program oversight or administration in a K-12 or higher education setting which must have included strategic planning, policy development, stakeholder engagement, developing workforce credential programs, dropout recovery programs, data analysis, developing and writing corrective action and continuous improvement plans, and sponsorship of community (charter) schools.

OR 6 years of experience providing supervision, program oversight or administration in a K-12 or higher education setting which must have included strategic planning, policy development, stakeholder engagement, developing workforce credential programs, dropout recovery programs, data analysis, developing and writing corrective action and continuous improvement plans, and sponsorship of community (charter) schools.

- 5 yrs. trg. or 5 yrs. exp. in business administration, management or public administration.

-Or completion of undergraduate core program in business administration, management or public administration; 36 mos. trg. or 36 mos. exp. in supervisory, administrative &/or managerial position.

-Or 1 yr. exp. as Program Administrator 2, 63123.

-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
