What role you will play in our team
Our client, ExxonMobil Guyana Limited, an ExxonMobil affiliate, has a vacancy for Upstream Engineer.
Seeking engineering applicants to support upstream operations in Guyana. Successful applicants will have the opportunity to support world-class offshore operations including FPSOs, deepwater drill ships, subsea projects and much more – all while working alongside one of the most talented workforces in the industry.
Positions Include:
Wells Engineer
Subsea Engineer
Production Engineer
What you will do
Lead initiatives for lessons learned capture and continuous improvement
Prepare and revise operations execution procedures
Identify and manage risks associated operations and recommend / progress improvement initiatives / corrective actions
Liaise with contractors and vendors in reviewing and evaluating technical information
Obtain all required permits and regulatory approvals
Ensure compliance with business controls
Provide ongoing surveillance for day-to-day operations
Monitor well performance and provide recommendations for optimizations
Capture potential improvement opportunities that can have a positive impact on safety or efficiency
Analysis of data to diagnose or predict potential operational challenges
Work closely with engineering and operations peers to implement required changes in practices / procedures
Provide on-site (offshore) support to ongoing operations (position dependent)
About you
Skills and Qualifications
University degree in Engineering
Self-directed with the ability to recognize/pursue solutions required to solve problems
Good interpersonal skills and effective organizational skills; good attention to detail, completeness, and meeting deadlines
Ability to lead and facilitate meetings and group discussions; good public speaking skills
Preferred Qualifications / Experience
Excellent communications (oral & written)
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Technical experience in Oil and Gas or heavy industry is advantageous, but not required
Willingness to travel to offshore locations on a regular basis (e.g., drilling rigs, FPSOs)
