Our combined Paediatric Units can accommodate up to 50 inpatients, with robust medical and surgical day stay and clinical investigation units, as well as a thriving outpatient department. Additionally, we pride ourselves on our tertiary accredited Level 5 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and offer subspecialty paediatric care in Paediatric Respiratory Medicine, Paediatric Nephrology, Paediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes, and Paediatric Surgery.

About the Department:

Our department offers an FRACP training program, featuring a paediatric fellow, 10 registrars, 6 Senior Resident Medical Officer (SRMO) positions, and 5 Postgraduate Year 2 (PGY2) positions. We run an active junior doctor program, nurturing quality trainees with a passion for paediatrics. Involvement in departmental teaching is a key aspect of the role, and we strongly encourage and support research initiatives.

Requirements:

To apply, you must either hold or be eligible for Specialist Registration as a Paediatrician with AHPRA, or be RACP comparable. New Zealand consultants are encouraged to apply!
