Cybersecurity Systems Engineer

Manassas, VA

Contract Position

Hourly Rate- $41.98

This position is supporting the next generation in developing mission critical systems for our national defense. You would be a part of creating the most effective and state of the art technologies for Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance supporting the Army, Navy, Air Force, Special Forces, and other Federal Government agencies working with our military.

Responsibilities:

Analyze current systems engineering documentation and processes, work with customers to determine needs.

Participate in various technical and program meetings on a weekly basis.

Work closely with small group of developers to ensure implementation is in accordance with the requirements.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field combined with 2 + years of reelvant work experience; or Master's Degree.

Clear understanding of systems engineering concepts, principles, theories, and technical standards

Derive and/or assist with generating Subsystem Level Requirements, Software Requirement Specification (SRS), Interface Requirements Specification (IRS) from Security Controls, Performance Specification (PSPEC), and Concept of Operations (CONOPS) documents.

Creative thinker with ability to grasp and apply new information quickly and handle increasing responsibilities with growing complexity

Team player who thrives in collaborative environments and revels in team success

Commitment to ongoing professional development for yourself and others

Knowlege of Linux and software development/programing
