Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a motivated Junior Technical Editor Engineer to join our team supporting the Global Exchange (GEX) Services program which provides data integration capabilities to the DoD and other Federal agencies. The team is based out of Herndon, VA but this role can be supported 100% remotely. GEX provides secure communications, data validation, transformation, routing, workflow and application of business rules with a complete end-to-end audit trail between hundreds of DoD systems. Technical editing is a collaborative process of generating content with authors to check the correctness of specialized terminology, equations, and combinability of textual and visual elements. In this role you will be reviewing, editing, improving written technical documents or technical materials prior to publication.

The Technical Editor will be responsible for but not limited to:

Edit documents to ensure compliance with style, design, layout, specification, and grammar and spelling requirements.

Edit, format, and maintain documents including, but not limited to program plans, system test reports, procedures, design documentation, requirements, user manuals, training materials, presentations, meeting minutes, and reports.

Edit proposals by collaborating with the Proposal team

Manages and organizes documents on Sharepoint

Collaborate with authors, assigned stakeholders, and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to gain better understanding of subject matter.

Conduct quality review of materials and provide peer review of program documents.

Manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Conducting and editing meeting minutes

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

0 years with BS/BA; 4 years no degree

Must have SharePoint experience

Must have at-least one (1) years’ experience in MS Office Suite with proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Skills must include ability to create and modify styles, forms, and templates.

Must possess excellent communications and interpersonal skills, be proactive, possess excellent problem-solving and organizational skills, and be self-motivated.

Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.

Desired Qualifications:

Experience drafting technical documents and SOPS.

Target Salary Range

$51,000 - $82,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
