Job Description

Cicero Construction Group is a commercial renovation contractor with over 50 years in the industry, based in Plainfield, IL. We are currently seeking to hire a utility carpenter. Applicants should have commercial renovation experience, should be able to read blueprints and drawings and take accurate measurements. The ideal candidate should understand carpentry techniques, electrical and manual tools and equipment and methods of installation and construction. We offer a competitive wage of between $32 - $36 per hour based on skill level. We also offer group health, dental and vision and a 401k plan as well as profit sharing.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum of 5 years construction experience in general carpentry.

Ability to be proficient in the following tasks:

· Controlled demolition

· Precise removal and installation of drywall

· Limited framing with metal studs

· Installation of new millwork and solid surface tops

· Installation of new shower doors

· Installation of new closet doors

· Cutting, fitting, and installing of patterned resin shower and tub surround panels

Carpenter: Facilitate, implement and complete various work duties within all divisions and sections of renovation project. Interact with project foreman/superintendent as well as other construction staff. Execution and completion of all required paperwork.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Extensive hands on abilities and willing to do whatever is asked on project.

Possess an attention to detail and able to follow direction daily from foreman or superintendent

Must have own hand tools.

Must be computer literate and have ready access.
