Director of Partnerships (Project-based)

The Partnerships Director is responsible for managing partner relationships and associated activations for all assigned accounts and supporting partnership renewals. The Director will also be responsible for departmental workflows, projects, and initiatives to ensure efficiency and identify the best activation plans for the festival. They will represent our brand and be our partners’ liaisons internally.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Develop a clear growth strategy and targets for the Partnerships and Fundraising team along with the Festival Executive Director.

Excite and delight all GFF stakeholders to ensure a positive experience is had for anyone dealing with GFF Source, grow and secure new long-term, sustainable funding opportunities

Build and maintain networks to grow GFF’s presence in the market.

Implement and monitor plans to ensure that quality relationships are built with key stakeholders.

Support the Partnerships and Fundraising team to ensure quality communication and clear processes and structures are developed, to track and maintain new and existing funding partnerships through our Marketing Team.

Present regular updates to the Finance Department and the Board.

Contribute positively to the GFF culture and breathe our values.

Create a systematic, process-driven approach to partner outreach and relationship management.

Identify and source partnership opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls, emails, and client visits

Research partners, identify key players, and generate interest.

Collaborate with senior management and other marketing teammates to align our internal goals with new and existing partner relationships

Negotiate and finalize deals following the Festival’s contract guidelines and policies

Deliver a great experience to our partners when working with our Festival

Forecast, measure, and report the results of various projects with partners, including co-created and/or co-branded content promotions, lead sharing, and/or event partnerships

Maintain a great ongoing relationship with current partners and offer new ways to grow the partnership.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Degree in marketing, communications, journalism or a relevant field.

Experience supervising and managing a Communications & Public Relations team.

Portfolio of successful campaigns you have overseen.

Expert knowledge of social media, online marketing, and internet culture.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Creative thinking with an affinity for innovation and problem-solving.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Established connections with media outlets and influential accounts.

In-depth understanding of web and marketing analytics.

Ability to conduct market research and present reports.
