Superintendent - Residential Remodeling

As a Superintendent in Residential Remodeling, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful execution of residential remodeling projects from start to finish. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in remodeling-related work and possess strong leadership and communication skills.

Essential Responsibilities:

Supervise and direct carpenters and other on-site employees to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and to the required standard.

Perform carpentry work as needed, serving as a hands-on leader throughout the project.

Maintain ownership of and ensure the upkeep of necessary tools and equipment.

Schedule and oversee building department inspections to ensure compliance with regulations.

Manage and coordinate subcontractors and vendors on a daily basis.

Estimate material quantities and work closely with the Production Manager to procure materials at competitive prices.

Act as the primary point of contact for clients, managing their expectations and relaying important information to the Production Manager.

Maintain awareness of project plans, change orders, and specifications.

Develop and maintain a detailed two-week schedule of jobsite events, including material delivery dates, work schedules, and subcontractor activities.

Communicate effectively with the Production Manager, subcontractors, clients, and architects as required.

Ensure jobsite safety, cleanliness, security, and protection from damage during construction.

Keep plans updated with any changes and disseminate this information to relevant parties.

Maintain a comprehensive jobsite file containing all relevant project documentation.

Attend quarterly training meetings with project managers and production managers.

Utilize computer technology as directed by the Production Manager.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in remodeling-related work.

Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with team members, clients, and stakeholders.

Reliable transportation and punctuality are essential.
