Title: Interim Controller

Location: Hybrid - Dulles, VA (2 days onsite)

Hourly Rate: Market

Job Type: Contract

Responsibilities:

Lead day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.

Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to support decision-making processes.

Collaborate with department heads to develop and manage budgets, providing insights and recommendations to optimize financial performance.

Conduct regular forecasting to identify potential financial risks and opportunities.

Ensure adherence to accounting principles and regulatory requirements.

Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.

Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support strategic initiatives and business planning.

Provide key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics for management review.

Prepare and coordinate audit activities, liaising with external auditors to ensure a smooth audit process.

Address audit findings and implement corrective actions as needed.

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the finance function.

Streamline financial processes to support scalability.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant financial data and insights.

Work closely with the executive team to align financial strategies with overall business goals.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred.

Proven experience as a Controller or in a similar finance leadership role.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.

Experience working remotely and managing virtual teams.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
