Maintenance Handyman

Job Description

NOW Hiring a Maintenance Handyman in the area of Coppell, TX for a global manufacturing facility of chips and snacks!

Pay rate: $21.50/hr.

Shift hours: 8am-5pm, M-F (must be flexible with hours and days)

Job Description:

Maintenance duties for the entire facility, focusing on the building’s cosmetic appearance, while ensuring a functional and safe environment.

This excludes any/all machinery involved or associated with the production lines. Proven experience as a handyman or similar role is preferred, with excellent communication skills and a key sense for solving problems.

Duties and responsibilities

Before performing any work on the equipment, be sure to lock out all energy sources according to OSHA guidelines.

Communicate to affected employees, including, production, sanitation, and (as applicable) contractors working on the same Line. Everything will be coordinated with the Maintenance Supervisor

Follow all Master safety rules and GMP policies as necessary.

Inspect all air filters and replace them if needed to avoid any product contamination.

Inspect and reconcile all tools before you release the area and remove locks from all energy sources.

Performing hot work on equipment welding, cutting, grinding, etc.

Upkeep of the entire facility (inside/out)

Qualifications

Must be able to read, write, and speak English.

Basic electrical knowledge

Basic Drywall repair knowledge

Basic Plumbing experience

Basic HVAC knowledge

Basic carpentry skills

Aerial Lift experience preferred

Forklift experience- Stand-up reach/sit-down

Ability to work both indoors and outdoors.

Basic knowledge of food safety and quality

Must be able to work flexible hours, days, and holidays.

Must lift 20-40 lbs
