UI/ Front End Developer

Intro:

As an UI/ Front End Developer, you will be working with our development teams and clients to define, test, plan, and build complex applications through iterative research methods and processes.

What You'll Be Doing:

Application development using current computing architectures and environments (e.g., multi-tiered Client/Server Web).

Analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to estimate development tasks for small to medium sized web development projects.

Solid understanding of multiple technologies including servers, browsers, 3rd party utilities/tools.

Agile Methodology/Scrum Process: Solid understanding of Agile methodology and Scrum process.

Self-motivated to know the latest in development technologies, tools and techniques.

Strong verbal and written communication skills can translate technical concepts as appropriate to the audience level.

Ability to work self-directed and as part of a team on projects of varying size; works well on multi-functional project teams and shows commitment to tasks, project, and to team.

Location and Travel Details:

This is a remote position with occasional travel (if needed).

Profile of Success:

7+ years of experience in web application front end design and development on public facing products.

MUST HAVE The Following Hands on Skills with the Follwoing: Experience working on VS Code or Visual Studio 2019+ is required

Deep Experince with Responsive Web Design on Public Facing Websites 7 + years is Required

Hands on Experince in SCSS and SASS Is required.

Experience designing for print & presentations in addition to interaction and visual design for applications and websites with the following Techanollgies is Required:

HTML,CSS- CSS Frameworks (e.g. bootstrap), SCSS, JavaScript, jQuery, ASP.NET MVC/ Razor Syntax

Ability to understand requirements and make recommendations for implementation of applying best practices in usability, interaction, and visual design.

Understanding of common software project management practices.

Familiar with the latest trends and methods in the industry, and have a good understanding of different mindsets that enable teams to be innovative and successful, like Design Thinking, Lean and Agile.

Understanding of Design Systems, and the ability to create visual designs built on components for fast-paced projects.

Working knowledge of Web technologies and related tools including development technologies and scripting languages (e.g., HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, SCSS, JS Frameworks, CSS Frameworks, ASP. Net MVC, Sitecore 9 or 10, ADO (Azure DevOps), etc.

Working knowledge and experience of developing and delivering the best user experience across all devices for public facing websites with responsive web design.

Working knowledge of implementing reusable UI components, shareable and customizable site themes.

Systems Development Life Cycle as pertains to software development projects.

Desirable Skills:

Professional knowledge of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 (WCAG) and the refreshed Section 508 Accessibility standards.

Proficiency with HTML & CSS development, with a strong understanding of responsive design

Bachelor’s Degree related to Design (Graphic, Industrial), Interaction Design, Interactive Media, Human Factors, or equivalent.
