Data Escalation Technician

Duties: Receive source data in many formats including- PDF, Excel files, text files, database dumps, etc.

and write parsing rules to convert the source data into CSV or MySQL format.

Investigate and fix problems with data parsers.

Analyze source data, map source data fields to a standardized set of in-house fields, and audit datasets to ensure accuracy.

Provide support to less technical members of the data production team.

Process large numbers of datasets in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.

Coordinate with the development team by identifying and suggesting ways to improve in-house tools and automate manual processing tasks.

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or a related field; plus 2 years of related experience.

Requires 2 years experience in all of the following skills: 1) process improvement; 2) high level of production; 3) technical assistance; 4) analyzing data; 5) transforming data; 6) interfacing with business users and understanding their requirements; 7) ability to learn and implement new and different techniques; 8) project management skills; 9) managing databases; 10) program writing skills using Python, Xpath, regular expressions, Linux shell; and 11) writing SQL queries.

40 hours/week, $70,075 per year.

Must also have authorization to work permanently in the U.S.
