JOB DETAILS: Summary This position oversees the business development and marketing endeavors of the Oil and Gas division in Uganda.

The role involves strategising, operational management, leading marketing initiatives, and cultivating essential partnerships to enhance market share and foster growth.

Key Responsibilities: • Develop and implement comprehensive business strategies aligned with the company's goals and the competitive Ugandan oil and gas market.

• Oversee all aspects of the division's operations, ensuring adherence to legal regulations and company policies.

• Spearhead the development and execution of marketing campaigns and initiatives to expand brand reach and capture significant market share within the oil and gas sector.

• Foster close collaboration with engineering department to streamline operations and promote the adoption of innovative technological advancements.

• Build and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government entities, industry leaders, and business partners, to drive mutually beneficial partnerships.

• Conduct market research and analysis to identify business opportunities within the oil and gas sector.

• Develop and manage budgets for the division, ensuring efficient resource allocation for marketing initiatives and business development activities.

• Identify and mitigate potential business risks associated with market fluctuations and competitor activity in the Ugandan oil and gas industry.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or relevant to the successful execution of the business development strategy within the sector.

Educational Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study • A Post Graduate degree is an added advantage.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience • Minimum of 8 years of experience in a leadership role within the oil and gas industry, with a proven track record of success in business development and marketing.

• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and inspire high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with a focus on achieving business objectives.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proven ability to conduct market research, analyses data, and identify business opportunities.

• Experience in developing and managing budgets to achieve financial goals, with a strong understanding of contract negotiation principles and the ability to oversee successful contract negotiations.

• Ability to adapt to a dynamic and challenging work environment, demonstrating resilience and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

• Willingness to relocate to Uganda and undertake frequent travel to operational sites, as well as potential international travel for business development and stakeholder meetings.
