The Women's Center is a non-profit counseling center, with almost 50 years of providing counseling, educational programs, and information and referral services in Northern Virginia and Washington DC. In partnership with Shelter House, the Center is seeking a part-time pre-licensed behavioral health clinician (pursing the Licensed Clinical Social Work, LCSW or Licensed Professional Counselor, LPC licensure in Virginia). The ideal candidate will provide short-term counseling to victims of domestic violence in the shelter and the community. The hours may vary with some late afternoon to early evening hours preferred. The work locations are in the North County and South County areas of Fairfax County and Fairfax City.
Requirements:
Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling or Psychology
Bilingual Spanish preferred
Essential Duties:
Provide psychotherapy services to Center clients in accordance with the law, regulations, and professional ethical standards applicable.
Maintain Center progress notes on each psychotherapy session, including reported data, observations, impressions, and treatment interventions.
Routinely evaluate client progress toward attaining objectives and goals and adjust the treatment plan as needed.
Ensure that all clinical files are protected and properly stored according to Center standards.
