Job Description

DESCRIPTION: The Laboratory Technician is responsible for performing various simple laboratory procedures, under the supervision of an ASCP-registered medical technologist to individuals with intellectual disabilities.

Salary: $28.30/hr.

Shift Available: Monday - Friday

6:30 AM - 2:30 PM

*** 3-month contract with option to extend to 6 months

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform phlebotomy on patients of all ages.

Perform computer data entry.

Process and package specimens for transport to reference lab.

Comply with facility Standard Operating Procedures to meet standards for accrediting agencies

REQUIREMENTS:

Graduation from an accredited high school or equivalent

One year of full-time phlebotomy work

Possess a valid Texas driver’s license.

Must have up-to-date immunization records.

Must submit to a drug test.

Must submit to fingerprinting.

Must complete facility-required training.
