We are adding a Mechanical Drafter to the team! You will be responsible for working with engineers and other key contributors to create detailed mechanical drawings for piece parts and higher-level assemblies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Creates drawings for ROICs, Detector Processing, and higher-level mechanical assemblies.

Checks drawings created by others to ensure quality and accuracy.

Interacts with Engineers and Program Managers to confirm drawing requirements, formatting, and incorporate redlines.

Supports Configuration Management for drawing number assignment and definition and assigns part numbers to be defined on drawings.

Familiarity with SolidWorks PDM

Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing

Qualifications & Competencies

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following qualifications and competencies:

Proficient skills in SolidWorks (most current version)

Familiarity with AutoCAD, and CAD conversion software

Familiarity using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, & PowerPoint)

Knowledge and application of ASME Drawing Standards

Ability to create and define drawings that are well defined, concise and easy to interpret

Knowledge of military and space-level requirements and materials

Must be detailed oriented and able to present ideas clearly

Must have strong verbal and presentation skills

Familiarity with electronic manufacturing materials and techniques

Displays exemplary ethics and business conduct and performs work cognizant of safe work practices

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Drafting or related field with minimum of five (5) plus years of related experience

Experience in the design of electro-mechanical systems

Citizenship Requirements

Due to the type of work at the facility and certain access restrictions, successful applicants must be a U.S. Citizen.

Salary Range: $59,400.00-$79,310.000
