As the Commercial Color Lab Manager, your central role revolves around leading color management operation to ensure precise color formulation, ensure efficient lab operations, and lead transformative changes using Lean or Six Sigma principles. You will guide multiple groups supporting business for Refinish. You will manage optimization of operations in all aspects of color matching and data lead automation and digital transformation projects, assist Business in color platform management of Refinish color matching lines, and ensure best market position in the region.

Responsibilities

Lead the Delaware Commercial Lab Organization, focusing on Commercial Truck, Commercial Truck OEM, Light industrial coatings, and Matthews (Sign Business) sectors by coordinating necessary resources to ensure seamless lab operations aligning with business indicators.

Lead and coordinate activities to ensure compliance with EHS targets, promoting a safe and sustainable working environment.

Define, set up, and oversee color matching projects aligning with our needs.

Lead Commercial Color Capability Activities, overseeing projects to enhance color capabilities according to our goals.

Provide Laboratory performance reports tailored to meet evolving needs and targets.

Cultivate and sustain relationships with important motor manufacturers, collecting essential color and model data

Manage a team of color information specialists, ensuring data accuracy and entry.

Manage customer service requests, collaborate with customers and Colorists for prompt resolution for commercial lab.

Create development plans and talent pipeline for the color lab personnel.

Manage customer service color matching.

Manage Refinish portion of GRID application including color laboratory management, color chip tool management and customer color retrieval software.

Qualifications

Degree in Chemistry, engineering or related field.

5+ years managing technical teams within the coating industry.

Knowledge of Refinish paint systems and their global applications

Must have a background of working for in a Technical Team, R&D, Product Development, or Industrial Labs
