Position: Patent Prosecution Associate/Of Counsel

Salary Range: $345,000 to $415,000, depending on experience

Location: New York Office-Midtown

Our client is looking for a talented Patent Prosecution Associate/Of Counsel with significant experience in biotechnology to join its Intellectual Property Group in their New York office.

The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background, exceptional organizational skills, and excellent interpersonal and writing abilities. Requirements:

At least 5+ years of biotechnology experience

Strong academic credentials

Outstanding organizational, interpersonal, and writing skills

Advanced degree in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, immunology, pharmacology, or chemistry

Admission to the Patent Bar

Tasks:

Prepare and prosecute patent applications

Perform patent landscape analysis

Conduct freedom-to-operate, noninfringement, and invalidity analysis

Conduct IP due diligence

Mentor junior patent agents

Background:

Strong interpersonal, communication, research, analysis, and writing skills

Track record of academic and professional excellence

Ability to manage matters independently

Comfortable with client interactions, opposing counsel, and courts
