This role is compensation grade H3. This role can be located in any of our 3 main office locations (Columbus, OH, Des Moines, IA and Scottsdale, AZ as a hybrid position. Remote candidates may be considered.)

We're seeking a driven candidate to oversee the transition of Nationwide Financials’ web presence to NW.com/financial-professional. The role will be responsible for leading large-scale initiatives with key stakeholders across Marketing, Marketing Ops and IT. They will orchestrate development plans to drive enhancements and capabilities for the business core webpages. The role will involve ensuring a seamless integration of experiences, vital for the advancement of financial marketing towards data-driven, customer-centric approaches. They will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop roadmaps to optimize the website experience to enhanced user engagement and conversion rates.

Key responsibilities of the role:

Planning and road mapping for all NF projects that impact pre-authenticated pages on nationwide.com, in partnership with NF Marketing Integration, NF Marketing line of business teams, and others as needed. Includes partnering in strategy development and identifying potential future opportunities based on evolving automation and technology capabilities.

Develop short- and long-term execution approaches to achieve strategic goals aligned with our digital experience web strategy.

Drive alignment around project prioritization across multiple teams to accelerate decision-making and delivery timelines.

Business case development to secure funding as needed for desired enhancements to the NF pre-authenticated experience on nationwide.com.

Resource alignment across site management, web content build, Technology, UX and SEO to ensure successful delivery of NF pre-authenticated digital experiences. Includes partnering with NW product manager to prioritize technology dev line work.

Day-to-day management of dev line resources for capability builds to support NF pre-authenticated pages / content.

Coordination with EIDO to ensure pre and post authenticated experiences are fluid to the end user.

Measurement and monitoring of key performance metrics for NF pages / content to inform optimization efforts.

Partnership with Marketing Operations, IRM, etc. to address foundational capability needs and security gaps.

As a Sr. Consultant you'll lead your team’s digital work in support of Nationwide's business goals, including the development and execution of digital strategies and plans that support long term sustainable growth. You'll plan, direct, and execution a wide variety of projects across assigned Marketing groups or product lines. We'll count on you to inspire your team to elevate their thinking and develop user-focused solutions and engaging campaigns. Planning and forecasting future needs that allow budgets and resources to develop and deliver strategic digital marketing plans will be important, too. And longer term, you'll be setting department vision and guiding staff towards successfully reaching it.

Key Responsibilities:

Provides full digital work. Digital work includes web, internet, email, social media and mobile. Work is both business-to-consumer and business-to-business focused.

Identifies problems and innovates digital solutions to reach assigned customer group through digital media options. Develops, conducts and advises local and national campaign strategies including marketing communication plans (i.e. advertising, promotions, media, sponsorship, online display, search, email, mobile, social etc.) and creative. Directs resources, agency relationships and professionals in the timely development, execution and integration of campaigns.

Leads an insights and analytics team for a wide array of digital projects. Partners with analytics to use data and information to forecast usage, competitor and customer behavior, understand target audiences, and effectively gets results.

Establishes a digital culture where an open exchange of ideas is valued. Reviews technology and recommends updates and improvements that will benefit the department. Stays current on industry trends, sees the big picture, explores possibilities and provides resources to inspire new insights.

Maintains knowledge of business unit's vision and strategic priorities. Examines their challenges, analyzes the market, their key target segments and their competitors; turns these into measurable resources for the digital team.

Leads, directs and coaches others regarding the use of digital applications of branding within area of responsibility. Ensures consistency of the digital brand experience for all customers.

Partners with Marketing teams to develop and plan business-to-business and business-to-consumer campaign strategies and initiatives to meet business objectives. Leads client demand, prioritization the workflow to ensure team is focused on priority work.

May provide performance management, salary planning, training and development, process and organizational planning and recruiting and retaining staff.

May perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Reporting Relationships: Reports to Associate Vice President/Vice President level or higher. May have the opportunity to manage a team of Digital professionals and may be responsible for matrix reporting relationships and virtual teams.

Typical Skills and Experiences:

Education: Undergraduate degree in marketing, communication, Advertising or related field preferred; master’s degree is desirable.

Experience: Typically, 10 or more years of related experience in marketing, email, web development and strategy, advertising, media or brand management. Proven experience and success in leadership and helping a team.

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Combined in-depth knowledge of marketing principles and methodologies including deep understanding of marketing through digital sources. Prefer in-depth knowledge of assigned business area. Advanced understanding of integrated marketing principles, including storytelling and content strategy. Innate understanding of how to get work done in a corporate environment (strong relationships, mutual accountability, executive presence). Exceptional visual, verbal and written communication skills. Leadership skills, including knowing how to coach and guide a digital team to success. The ability to coach and guide a digital team to success.

Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence.
