Location: MTO all Region Responsibilities The Office Person/Inspector will perform the duties of both positions, as necessary.

The Office Person will function as an additional Contract Administrator for this Assignment, working under the direction of a Contract Administrator.

The Office Person will work on all aspects of administering a construction contract, including but not limited to: Assist with monitoring and documenting day-to-day activities.

Assist with monitoring compliance with and administering terms of operational constraints of the contract.

The Office Person/Inspector will be on site full time while the contractor is working on the construction contract.

If the construction contractor’s work.

· The efficient functioning of the field office is a key component of the Contract Administration activity.

· The field office functions as a communications and records centre in support of the Contract Administrator, the Project Manager, and other field staff.

· The individual in the office position role must (in addition to the normally expected paperwork, communication and organizations requirements and the ability to meet deadlines independently and under pressure) be generally familiar with field construction activities.

Manage day to day activities.

Liaison with owner, project manager, contractor and field staff Review Contractor's Quality Control Performance Measures Compiles field test data Perform work within established guidelines, procedures, and practices.

Record, review and address contractor questions and clarifications Attend site meetings and filed inspection, as required.

Qualifications Degree in Civil Engineering or a post secondary diploma Minimum 2 years' experience as Office Person/Inspector on MTO or Municipalities jobs.

Experience of being an Office Person/Inspector Contract on at least two MTO or Municipalities projects as Office Person/Inspector.

Proficiency with MS Office Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with PEO or as a Technician with OACETT.

and possessing the Road Construction Contract Administration (RCCA) or the Road Construction Senior Inspector (RCSI) designation or the Road Construction Junior Inspector (rcji) designation.

Familiarity with critical path scheduling Strong verbal and written communication and time management.

Excellent understanding of procurement processes.

Excellent team worker.

Valid Canadian Driver license.

Monitoring activities on timely manner.

Communicating with owner and contractor on timely manner Administrate contracts in accordance with general requirements of contractual terms and conditions.

Proven analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
