Overview: Reporting to the Production Manager the Production Supervisor will be responsible for Coordinating and motivating multi-talented production employees while ensuring a satisfactory workflow.

Key Responsibilities: Direct and lead a Maintenance, Quality and Production team of 25 people.

Strong leadership quality.

Responsible for production schedule adherence and meeting quality standards.

Manage employee attendance and vacation.

Must be able to implement all the company polices.

Work planning and coordination of all employees within the plant on night shift.

This includes trades people, quality, and production employees.

Strictly adhere to and follow all safety policies and procedures as outlined in the company policies and training sessions.

Coordinate with all outside contractors and ensure that work is completed in a safe manner that complies with all necessary manufacturing codes, regulations, and standards ie.

H&S, GMP's, HACCP, WHMIS, MSDS.

Communicate daily maintenance activity to all Operators.

Participate as an active member of the Joint Health and Safety Committee.

Improve and maintain existing Preventative Maintenance systems in place.

Identify opportunities and make recommendations to continuously improve maintenance operations and efficiencies.

Assist senior management with establishing and implementing operating and capital budgets; ensure maintenance operates within budget parameters.

Training and development of production & maintenance staff using continuous improvement methods.

Attend weekly supervisor meeting.

Other projects as assigned by management.

Qualifications: Educational background in mechanical or engineering technology (diploma or degree), Strong leader with people development skills.

Minimum of five (3) years experience working in a related position within the food/ beverage or chemical industry is required.

Excellent interpersonal skills along with strong written, and verbal communication skills.

Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, including understanding of PLC programming.

Progressive approach to maintenance and process improvement.

Strong knowledge of MS Office suite.

Ability to prioritize, plan and schedule work effectively with a production team in a fast paced and values driven environment.
