NextStar Energy (NSE) is an innovative joint venture company between LG and Stellantis.

It will be Canada's first large-scale lithium-ion battery production plant when it begins production at the Twin Oaks site in Windsor, Ontario.

The manufacturing facility will have an annual targeted production capacity more than 49 gigawatt hours and will create an estimated 2,500 new jobs in Windsor and the surrounding areas.

This state-of-the-art facility will be the first of its kind in Canada and is being built with the goal of becoming the foremost battery hub in North America.

Production operations are planned for launch in the first quarter of 2024.

The Module Equipment Technician will be responsible for the compliance of all safety standards on the shop floor.

They will work with and manage module technicians in order to resolve any issues that arise on the shop floor.

Responsibilities: Lead a team from project design to installation.

Comply with health/safety/environmental/fire regulations and 3R5S standards Write and debug PLC programs.

Troubleshoot machine breakdowns in a timely manner to minimize loss of production.

Install and repair electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical equipment.

Work on continuous equipment improvement Maintain inventory of parts and equipment.

Observes all safety rules and maintains an orderly workplace Ability to work overtime as needed.

Package parts for shipping and other miscellaneous jobs.

Requirements: Diploma in a related field.

More than 5 years experienced with mechanical trouble shooting & maintenance and preventative maintenance.

Production/Quality related knowledge.

Process knowledge, equipment operation knowledge, manual knowledge, work manual understanding knowledge, equipment/electricity-related technical knowledge, etc.

Able to work 12-hour shifts (day/afternoon). Must be legally eligible to work in Canada Thank you for your interest in our company and the opportunity to join our team.
