Are you a licensed Journeyman Electrician who’s looking to join one of the oldest and most established solar companies in the country? Arch Electric’s Utility Business Unit is looking for Licensed Journeyman Electricians to join our team. We have a variety of Prevailing Wage opportunities along with a dedicated team to help support you throughout your career.

POSITION DATA

Position Title: Electrician

Pay: Starting around $48.00/hour up to $95.00/hour. There are a mixture of Prevailing Wage and Non-Prevailing Wage projects. Rates will vary per jobsite.

Location: Illinois and Wisconsin

REQUIRED SKILLS

Strong customer service, Positive attitude, Highly motivated, Superior problem-solving skills.

Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical drawings.

Ability to perform tasks with little to no supervision.

Licensed Journeyman Electrician Card.

Ability to Travel to jobsites in Illinois and Wisconsin

PREFERRED SKILLS

Electrical Foreman on a PV Install over 3 MW.

QC/QA Work on a PV Install over 3 MW.

Experience with Heavy Equipment operation.

Proficient in interpreting engineering software (i.e. AUTOCAD or Bluebeam).

Proven ability to work in a team environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to perform physical tasks. Ability to lift 75 pounds.

Ability to use tact and diplomacy when dealing with co-workers, county officials, and the general public.

Demonstrated ability to comply with appropriate safety regulations.

18+ years of age with a valid Driver’s License, good driving record, and proof of insurance

Comfortable working on a roof if needed. Knowledge of OSHA and Fall Protection is a bonus.

Bilingual: English/Spanish.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The role of the Electrician is to work in tandem with the Site Leader/Supervisor to provide consistent, high-quality, cost-effective, and timely analysis of projects. This role requires excellent attendance, a willingness to travel, the ability to work within budgets, and potentially in inclement weather. This role will work in conjunction with the Construction Project Manager, Assistant Project Manager of Construction, Site Lead/Supervisor, the Director of Technical Operations, and the Head of Business Operations to develop accurate and efficient project management and analysis.

Maintain and meet construction schedule deadlines that comply with customer requirements.

Lead day-to-day operations for a small electrical crew.

Handling of terminations and electrical testing.

Identify process improvement strategies to support business growth.

Ability to train/mentor an Electrical Apprentice
