Responsibilities

The OBXtek STAQSS II contract supports the Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition (SAF/AQ) organization, other PEOs as directed, and other Headquarters Air Force organizations where it is in the interest of the SAF/AQ to have an acquisition support presence within that organization. The objective is to provide specialized expertise to complement the organization’s inherent resources for effective and efficient mission accomplishment and continuity, introduction of innovation, and enhancement of technical competence. The contractor shall support the entire spectrum of acquisition and sustainment efforts as necessary to support the respective Government organizations.

**This position is currently telework eligible, with on-site work 4-5 days per week. This position may require more days on-site or 100% onsite.

The Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition (SAF/AQ) has overall responsibility for acquiring weapons systems for the Department of the Air Force and serves as the Senior Procurement Executive, the Service Acquisition Executive (SAE) and acquisition representative on the Air Force Council. SAF/AQ oversees the Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) and procurement of major Air Force platforms and systems across the full breadth of air and space capabilities. SAF/AQ reports to the Secretary of the Air Force, serves as an agent of the Secretary within assigned policy and program domains, and provides guidance, direction, and oversight for all matters pertaining to the formulation, review, and execution of plans, policies, programs, and budgets within the AQ area of responsibility. SAF/AQ also works in cooperation with the other agencies and organizations within the Secretary of the Air Force and Headquarters Air Force. Program Executive Officers (PEOs) at multiple acquisition centers, to include the Air Force Rapid Capabilities Office (RCO), reports directly to the SAE and the Defense Acquisition Executive (DAE) for Department of Defense (DoD) acquisition functions. SAF/AQ works to address immediate and near-term Combat Air Force and Combatant Commander’s requirements by managing acquisition projects conducted on accelerated timelines require unique industrial interactions, and coordination and cooperation of other government agencies and organizations.

The Administrative Specialist, Journeyman will provide administrative support to senior military leaders.

The tasks for this position include:

a. Responsible for schedule management, office management, communication liaison, information preparation, company records management, data analysis, and representing the executive to others.b. Uses discretion and judgement and knowledge of organization to facilitate the executive's activities.c. Conserves executive's time by reading, researching, prioritizing, and routing correspondence; drafting letters and documents; collects and analyzes information; and initiates communications.d. Manages executive's appointment schedule by planning and scheduling meetings, conferences, teleconferences, and travel.e. Completes and manages projects, distributes work to other AQE contracted personnel, follows up on results. Works closely with Executive Officer(s) and other assigned support staff.f. Plans and orchestrates complex and detailed meetings and events at the Pentagon and NCR locations.g. Handles confidential information, correspondence, and communicationsh. Any other tasks closely associated with the performance of duties list above and as coordinated with the COR.

Qualifications

Active Secret clearance

Current experience in DTS and knowledge of DoD travel processes and regulations.

A total of 3-5 years of relevant, current experience per the tasks listed above.

Experience supporting a General/Flag Officer or Senior Executive Service (SES) or similar role.

Previous executive support experience at the HAF (or equivalent staff) is highly desirable.

Highly proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Access and SharePoint.

Highly proficient in MS Teams and Outlook calendar managment.

Proficient in TMT.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to prioritize tasks.

Understanding of DoD language and structure.

Education/Certifications:

Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
