Night Shift Robotic Welder Structural Steel $19.50 to $21.50 Hour â Taylors, SC â Monday â Thursday 5:00PM â 4:00AM

May arrive up to 1 hour early and be paid for time of early arrival. Considered late if 1 minute after required Start time.

Hourly Start Pay based on candidateâ s individual qualifications and history of performance and pay.

Will need to Take and pass a 2G Mild Structural Steel Weld test, Measurement Test, a Blueprint test showing understanding and ability to comprehend AWS Welding Synbols

Fabricates and assembles materials for most types of finished assemblies per detail drawings using the Lincoin Robot Cobot Welding Machine in a safe and efficient manner while maintaining high quality. Interpret changes to the blueprints and adjusts the robot as needed.

Responsibilities:

Manages the safe movement and operation of the robot arm within a working fabrication shop.

Programs and Operates Welding Cobot.

Develops layout and plans sequence of operations, applying knowledge of trigonometry, stock allowances for thickness, machine and welding shrinkage, and physical properties of metal.

Cleans parts as needed to ensure proper fit up and weld surfaces.

Positions, aligns, fits, and welds together parts.

Performs in-process quality checks to ensure proper alignment and good welds.

Troubleshoots machine, materials, and processes to eliminate errors and improve productivity.

May be responsible for moving material and detail to and from the Cobot Area (after completion of the Overhead Crane Certification).

Required Education:

High School Diploma or GED

Experience:

A combination of over 2 years directly related training and/or experience is typically required for carrying out the responsibilities.

Proficient in Welding and Fitting.

Ability to read blueprints and AWS welding symbols.

Experienced working with computer-controlled equipment.

Experienced with working with Robotic equipment desired.

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as plan and solid geometry and trigonometry.

Use good judgement to plan, perform and make decisions as to the sequence of set-up.

Notes:

This position has three levels of operation:

Completion of basic training with a mentor or trainer, pass a basic operator weld test.

Completion of Proficiency Testing with a Trainer.

Completion of Trouble-Shooting and Basic Maintenance Testing with a trainer.

Additional Expectations:

Must work safely within the confines of the Robots reach without damaging the arm or endangering other employees in the area.

Must be able to meet the expectations of SC Steel Quality Checks.

Must be able to communicate with Supervisors and project managers when faced with blueprint inconsistencies or nonconformities.

Completion of Overhead Crane Certification.

Must have the abilities to weld, cut, and grind material to meet AWS D1.1 & D1.8 codes in a safe and efficient manner while maintaining high quality. Performs at a highly proficient and independent level in order to achieve the set goals for safety, quality, delivery, and cost. *This is a temp to permanent position*
