JOB SUMMARY
Provides general administrative support for Campus Ministry & Spiritual life. Serves as the front desk point of contact for all students requesting information and appointments. Monitors email, phone, and other correspondence for Campus Ministry. Works closely with the Chaplain and Liturgical Music & Events Coordinator to support meetings/events and special projects or functions.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the mission of Marymount University and the division of Ministry and Spiritual Life.
Manage the day-to-day operations of the office, represent the MSL office on university committees and provide a welcoming presence and consistent office hours.
Set up and maintain group contacts: Morning Mass Congregation, Weekend Congregation, Lectors, Sacristans, Greeters, Campus Ministry Students and Music Ministers
Support the student leaders for the Ministry club plan and prepare for volunteer and service events including Halloween Fest & Special Olympics, as well as special awareness months on topics such as Hunger & Homelessness and Respect for Life programs.
Assist the Director/Chaplain as needed in promoting the spiritual life of students, especially through retreats, small group meetings, Masses, Holy Hours, and building of personal relationships.
Sacramental Records: Baptisms, Weddings and Mass Intentions
Pay invoices and help count the mass collections
OTHER DUTIES AND ASSIGNMENTS
Performs other work-related duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education
Must hold a high school diploma/GED. Bachelor's degree (BA, BS, etc.) preferred.
Experience
1-2 years of related experience supporting senior-level management preferably in a catholic ministry or academic environment. Ideally has knowledge/experience to help with Sacristy Work
Financial Responsibility
May process or record financial transactions within established guidelines and safeguards. Duties may require policy interpretation.
Supervision
May supervise and/or provide guidance to student employees regarding procedure, scheduling, etc.
Special Knowledge
Proficient skills with Microsoft 365 to include Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Effective communications and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage projects with limited supervision.
