Job Purpose
The fellowship is a unique one-year appointment under the direct supervision of the Director of School Services (DSS). The program is designed to help fellows gain experiences needed to develop and/or lead specialized schools or treatment programs. The fellow will have the opportunity to gain experiences using a variety of organizational behavior management methods and principles to assist with organizational change and enhance the culture of five different schools experiencing various business situations (e.g., accelerated growth, realignment, sustaining success). The program is meant to prepare the fellow for taking a leadership position within VIA Centers for Neurodevelopment or similar non-profit organizations in the future.
Job Duties
Work directly with the DSS in daily operations
Training in program assessment, needs, and development
Hiring, training, and supervising staff
Training in curriculum and clinical best practices
Assisting with school administration, student admissions and discharges
Participating in administrative meetings
Reviewing budgetary goals and monthly financials
Participating in program evaluation, quality assurance, and program improvement activities and meetings
Champion special projects as neededRequirements:
Qualifications
Master’s or doctoral (preferred) degree in applied behavior analysis or related field
Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Highly qualified candidates who have completed their coursework and are seeking supervision hours may be considered
Valid Virginia license in Behavior Analysis
Extensive knowledge and skills in applied behavior analysis and evidence-based strategies for learners with autism and other developmental disabilities
Demonstrated coursework or training in Organizational Behavior Management, including systems and training development and implementation
Experience with supervision and training
Ability to work independently, with great attention to details, and prioritize tasks/goals for self and others
Position Type
This is a full-time position. Travel to VIA sites will be required.
