SUBFUNCTION DEFINITION:

As an Analyst II specializing in EMR with expertise in Epic ClinDoc, your core responsibility is to oversee the educational initiatives pertaining to the hospital's clinical information systems. This entails crafting, implementing, and evaluating education programs aimed at optimizing the usage of these systems across various departments. Additionally, you'll spearhead complex projects aimed at enhancing the proficiency of business and patient care staff in leveraging clinical information system applications effectively. Your demonstrated proficiency in organizational and clinical information system applications is crucial for integrating these systems seamlessly into daily practice.

REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES

Education and Project Management Cycle:

Provide comprehensive support to users through clinical system training.

Develop and curate education and training materials to cater to the diverse needs of end-users.

Execute advanced education and training initiatives to further enhance user proficiency.

System Readiness/Technical Support:

Maintain the relevant Epic training and build environments to facilitate end-user training.

Manage educational technology content to ensure its applicability and relevance.

Collaborate on maintaining training environments to ensure their currency and usability.

Leadership:

Take on leadership roles or actively participate in councils, committees, or task forces representing Clinical Information Systems Education.

Provide oversight and guidance on ongoing departmental projects.

Education/Learning:

Contribute to the development and evolution of the Learning Management System (LMS) for consistent and practical use.

Engage with peer enterprise education experts and Training Specialists to identify and implement best practices in clinical system training.

Serve as a knowledgeable resource on learning modalities and adult learning principles, aiding in teaching and curriculum development.

Organization:

Participate in process improvement activities to streamline education learning and team processes.

Track, review, and revise content to ensure its accuracy and relevance.

Problem Solving:

Utilize critical thinking skills to navigate through complex problems and arrive at effective solutions.

Professional Growth and Development:

Stay abreast of the latest developments in the field through participation in educational opportunities provided by relevant institutions.

Engage in independent reading and online seminars to further enhance skills and knowledge.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Required:

Bachelor’s Degree.

Minimum of 2 years of work experience in a related discipline.

Preferred:

EPIC certification.

Prior eLearning creation experience

Bachelor’s degree in nursing, respiratory therapy, or a related clinical field.

3 years of experience in developing and implementing training strategies focused on clinical information systems, including classroom training and content creation experience.

Strong project management skills.
