General Purpose: Seeking a full-time Vice President to join our expanding Transaction Advisory practice as a key team member, responsible for leading buy-side and sell-side financial accounting due diligence engagements for private equity and corporate clients. Transaction Advisory team members play a pivotal role in evaluating a company’s earnings quality, analyzing working capital, identifying commitments and contingencies, and engaging in comprehensive discussions with management and their advisors.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Supervising analysts and associates to ensure efficient project execution

Demonstrate strong multitasking abilities, effectively managing multiple projects and administrative tasks simultaneously

Identify key risks and potential deal breakers during due diligence process

Analyze detailed financial statement information including income statement, balance sheet, cash flow and operational data

Synthesize data and information into meaningful observations and conclusions

Produce comprehensive due diligence report to organize and communicate our findings

Lead due diligence calls and meetings with client and target company management

Review audit workpapers to understand critical accounting policies and procedures

Provide insights to purchase agreement and other deal documents

Actively involved in business development including client pursuits and proposals

Participate in the hiring and training of analysts and associates

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Proficient knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting standards

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint

Relationship-oriented, fostering connections with clients, peers, and management

Demonstrates an entrepreneurial mindset

Maintains a positive and enthusiastic attitude

Thrives in a collaborative team environment

Exhibits creativity in problem-solving

Holds oneself accountable and manages multiple tasks effectively

Willingness to travel up to 50% on short notice

Education and/or Training:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or related major

Minimum 5-7 years of experience in audit and/or financial accounting due diligence (with at least 1 year in due diligence). Big Four experience preferred.

Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

For individuals assigned to work in California, Colorado, New York City, or Washington, Stout is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The range for this role considers several factors including but not limited to prior work and industry experience, education level, and unique skills. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $87,000.00 - $195,000.00 Annual. This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
