Salary: 90k-95k

Position Summary:

This role is for a resourceful Intelligence Analyst (IA) familiar with the extremist landscape who can conduct open-source research, produce analytic reports, and develop tactical alerts in a fast-paced environment. The IA effectively monitors an extensive range of publicly available information to identify and analyze activity that may be antithetical to the Jewish community of Greater Washington. The IA organizes and collates appropriate information and regularly produces clear, concise and accurate reports for various purposes and audiences. Additionally, the IA researches and delivers original products based on needs and/or current events. The IA is expected to maintain solid professional relationships with public and private sector partners to obtain, develop and share appropriate information.

Essential Functions:

Monitor OSINT sources, including but not limited to internet (including dark web), social media, mass media, public events, etc. to identify and collect information pertinent to the mission

Leverage appropriate analytical tools, databases and methodologies, as well as strong critical thinking skills to identify trends, patterns and/or relationships that may signify a potential threat or adverse activity affecting the community

Provide clear, concise and accurate verbal and written assessments, reports, and presentations on a regular basis and as situations dictate

Collect, organize and maintain current and historical information pertaining to recurring threats, adverse actions or potentially hostile activities or persons

Maintain solid professional relationships with public and private sector partners

Continually assess, develop and improve technological and procedural practices to maintain proficiency

Evaluate, acquire and implement new collection tools, technological platforms and methodologies

Prepare impactful materials for intelligence-sharing related meetings, such as coordinating/organizing exchanges and conferences, preparing semi-annual and annual reports and other assigned administrative tasks

Qualifications and Success Factors:

Bachelor’s Degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, in International Relations, Intelligence, Government, Law, Law Enforcement or a related field with a focus on security;

Previous relevant experience as an Analyst or Associate in intelligence or security consulting field (prior experience in military, intelligence, or law enforcement preferred)

Practicable experience and/or strong knowledge in utilizing a wide range of tools and methodologies to conduct effective OSINT analysis and extrapolation (i.e., formal training in recognized analytical tools)

Ability to handle confidential matters with appropriate sensitivity, discretion, and professionalism with demonstrated poise, tact, and diplomacy

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong judgement and analytical skills

Strong understanding of current events and the threats facing the Jewish community at large is beneficial

Ability to establish and maintain excellent working relationships with co-workers at all levels in the organization; must work well in a team environment and be proactive in developing new projects and approaches

Ability to work independently and produce excellent work product; able to demonstrate an ability to effectively and successfully manage individual workload and prioritize tasks appropriately

Candidates should be located in or willing to relocate to the Greater Washington (DC, MD, and Northern VA) region. This position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement, with 3 days a week required in our headquarters.
