Dennis & Co. Auto Group, LLC - is seeking an on-site Human Resources Generalist for our corporate office in Pearl River, NY office.

About Us:

Dennis & Co. Auto Group, Inc. operates a major automotive dealership network in the Metropolitan New York region with a diversified portfolio of 14 brands across 15 locations, including Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram, Kia, Volkswagen, Ford, Buick, GMC, Fiat, Infiniti, Chevrolet, and Cadillac. The group also owns and operates a used-only dealership and two collision centers.

Responsibilities:

· Process new hires for onboarding, ensuring compliance with all Federal, State, and Local statutes.

· Run background checks; obtain and verify medical documentation and liaise with State and Federal agencies to verify applicant status.

· Ensure that all applicant documents are completed fully and correctly and in accordance with regulations prior to the applicant’s date of hire.

· Certify data integrity by inputting the relevant information into applicable systems, namely ADP.

· Interface with the Payroll Department to ensure wage and tax paperwork is entered and all employees are compensated appropriately.

· Create and take ownership of new hire personnel files/medical files/I9 files/Workers’ Compensation files.

· Administer benefits enrollment plans and reconcile monthly medical plan invoices.

· Process union dues enrollments for new members and reconcile monthly dues invoices.

· Assist with employee relations related matters.

· Facilitate new hire orientation.

· Prepare monthly compliance reports and other reports as needed.

· Assist with policy and training program development as needed.

· Communicate information upstream via reporting to facilitate continued departmental function.

· Support teammates with follow-up and communication regarding applicants and employee status changes, annual compliance requirements, etc.

· Assume a growth mindset which guides daily activities and works proactively with management to foster and catalyze growth.

· Assist HR team with coordination of Company events.

· Have a can-do attitude and eagerly pitch in with other duties as needed.

· Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

· High school degree or equivalent required.

· 2-4 years of Human Resources experience required.

· Bilingual – preferred.

· Experience in Human HRIS or ADP knowledge – preferred.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

· Ability to communicate effectively (both orally and verbally) across all levels of the organization.

· Ability to define problems and tasks, collect data and establish facts, take action and resolve issues.

· Basic knowledge of E-Verify - Preferred.
