On behalf of our client, a non-governmental organization, we are looking for a Grants Officer in Prishtina, Kosovo.

Job summary:

The Grants Officer will be responsible for implementing the grant cycle, including contracting selected grantees, daily communication with them during implementation, and continuous monitoring of their work programmatically, financially, and administratively.

Key duties and responsibilities:

Assist in implementing the grant cycle for our client's grant program (design, information sessions, administrative checks, evaluation, contracting, and monitoring);

Support the development of procedures, forms, and other necessary documents for program implementation;

Lead the process of contracting grantees;

Regularly communicate with grantees and address their questions/requests;

Monitor the work of grantees and ensure that collected information is recorded in appropriate forms and documents;

Ensure that grant closures are carried out according to agreed procedures and deadlines;

Support the project manager in implementing the work plan and achieving results;

Archive and manage program documents and files;

Ensure that complete and accurate grant information, including reports submitted by grantees, is systematically maintained and stored;

Assist in data analysis and provide information for reporting purposes;

Monitor the website and social networks to ensure that program information is complete and accurate;

Represent our client in meetings with grantees and communicate in Albanian and English;

Assist in the preparation of activities and events organized by our client; and,

Travel within Kosovo and abroad.

Basic qualifications and competencies:

Bachelor's degree, preferably in fields related to legal, social, or economic sciences;

At least one year of previous work experience in projects funded by foreign donors;

Proficiency in MS Office, especially MS Excel;

Willingness to work in a team and engage in multiple tasks simultaneously;

Excellent organizational skills;

Basic knowledge of Monitoring and Evaluation systems;

Excellent communication skills (especially writing) in Albanian and English, while similar skills in Serbian would be considered an advantage;

Driver's license (category B) and willingness to travel within Kosovo.

In addition to the above qualifications and competencies, the following are preferred:

Demonstrated previous experience in similar positions;

Work experience with civil society organizations and civic initiatives.
