Job Description
Position Summary:
Responsible for assisting physician in patient care, performing all necessary X-Rays, with a high degree of quality, escort patients to rooms, medical assistance as needed, order medical and x-ray supplies, maintain x-ray records. The X-Ray Technologist Lead is also responsible for managing the technologist placement based on clinical needs.
Position Responsibilities/Standards:

Adheres to established facility safety requirements and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Identifies potentially unsafe situations and notifies supervisor
Specific Duties
Escort patients to x-ray suite
Prepare patients for x-ray
Perform x-rays as required by physicians
Perform C-ARM procedure
Document procedure performed in log book
Escort patients back to exam rooms
Communication with physicians, patients and staff
Medical assistance as needed
Be available to physicians during office hours
Ensure equipment is maintained properly
Order x-ray supplies as needed
Pulling, filing and mail back of x-rays.
Answer patient questions
Manage technologist placement based on clinical needs
Be the IRRP (Individual Responsible for Radiation for Protection) for the clinic
Assist and be the point person for Ohio Department of Health inspections of the department
Manage the PMs (Preventative Maintenance) for the equipment
Perform Quality Assurance on Lead and other supplies
Attend manager meetings-be the “spokesperson” on behalf of the X-ray department
Assist and be point person for any major changes in the Department, ie. EMR changes/PACs changes
Manage and maintain Ohio Department of Health records and any other reports pertaining to x-ray
Additional Duties
OSHA
Travel to satellite offices as necessary
Education/Experience Required:
Must be ARRT and Ohio, Kentucky and/or Indiana (whichever state you will practice) Radiography license.
Physical Requirements:
Physical requirements for the position include the ability to frequently hear and communicate orally, see up close and at a distance, read and comprehend, stand, sit, walk, reach, handle, and/or feel objects. Must be able to climb, pull, push and kneel. Maximum unassisted lift = 50 lbs. Average lift 25-50 lbs.
