Our client is a manufacturer of electrical products sold to both distributors and OEMs.
We are looking for a territory account manager with a background in electrical to sell into an existing base and bring in new business. You will be tasked with getting our products spec'd, calling on end users, accompanying distribution reps and at times, working with engineering firms.
Territory: All territories between Trois Rivieres to Saint Armand. Thus excluding Quebec city and Saguenay areas.
Workplace: Home office (local to Montreal+ 1 day office presence per week
Products/Services: Electrical products
Salary: Base $80,000-$90,000 depending on experience
Commissions/Bonus: N/A
Car allowance: $1,400 per month

Call on distributors assigned to you in your territory
Call on end-users
Provide support for distributor reps
Build relationships with customers
Call on electrical contractors
Call on engineering firms

Follow up on quotes
Submit monthly reports on activities
Perform product orientations, training and corporate promotions
Achieve sales target
Requirements:
Development vs Maintenance:30% vs 70%
Road vs Office: 80% vs 20%
Languages: French and English (bilingualism)
Education: College degree or equivalent experience
Training: On the job training provided but must have an electrical background
Overnight Travel: 1-2 days per month of overnight travel
Years of experience:3-5 years relevant experience
Other requirements: Self-motivated with strong presentation skills
Transferable contacts: Experience and knowledge of electrical contractors in Montreal is a huge asset
Transferable Knowledge: Microsoft Office
