The Senior Manager, Health Policy & Reimbursement will focus on coding, coverage, payment, contracting, and reimbursement activities related to Novocure Oncology Products. This individual is tasked with maximizing reimbursement for Novocure’s products. The Senior Manager, Health Policy & Reimbursement needs a strong knowledge of Medicare payment policy and the current payer market including Commercial, Medicare, Medicaid and VA, with particular emphasis on government payment methodologies. This position works closely with Novocure’s US Revenue Operations team and the Novocure Government Affairs team.

This a full time, exempt, remote based role reporting to the Senior Director, Health Policy and Reimbursement tied to our Chesterbrook, Pennsylvania office.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support coding, coverage, and payment strategy work for Medicare, commercial, and other payors

Conduct Medicare, VA, and Medicaid payment policy research and analysis, develop strategic recommendations

Collaborate closely with the Government Affairs team to shape policy priorities and provide strategic support for initiatives

Develop and maintain strong relationships with key government payors, including the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and State Medicaid Programs, and others as required

Lead the submission, pull-through efforts, and contract management associated with State Medicaid, Veterans Affairs, and other government payers in the US.

Advocate for coverage for Veteran cases that require assistance, clarify policy or appeal during the VA approval process, and ensure optimal reimbursement and coverage for Novocure's therapies.

Work closely with Novocure reimbursement, billing and commercial teams to identify contracting and process improvement opportunities consistent with organization objectives

Employ strong project management skills by prioritizing and leading multiple tasks concurrently

Prepare persuasive policy documents, briefings, and company summaries.

Clearly communicate Novocure's positions on critical issues to federal agencies and external stakeholders, positioning the company and its executives as thought leaders in healthcare policy and advocacy.

QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE:

Bachelors degree required, Master’s degree perferred

Minimum of 5 years medical device or pharamceutical reimbursement and health policy experience.

Broad knowledge of Medicare, managed care, third party payers, and Medicaid required; knowledge of Medicare rulemaking process, Durable Medical Equipment benefit category preferred.

Demonstrated creative problem solving, initaitve, strategy development, and curiousity, strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to effectively address work in a timely fashion and by collaborating with external and internal stakeholders

High level of sophistication and interpersonal skills needed to interact with C-level executives, medical directors, nurse case managers, and contracting personnel

Ability to interpret complex information, and understand and interpret company data to provide analysis to internal and external stakeholders

Ability to work independently, balance multiple projects, and perform timely follow up

Competent in all Microsoft Office products

OTHER:
