Project Overview:

This EPC project aims to construct a new cement plant in Belgium, focusing on decarbonization through cutting-edge carbon capture and storage technologies. Scheduled to finish by 2028, it will capture about 1.1 million tonnes of CO2 annually, advancing towards carbon neutrality.

Role Summary:

As the Construction Manager, you will be crucial to the success of the new clinker production line, directly reporting to the Project Director. You will manage the entire construction site, ensuring efficient and safe project execution.

Key Responsibilities :

Direct and oversee the construction of the new clinker production line, ensuring that the project is delivered on time, within scope, and budget.

Manage the EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) contract for the first package, ensuring compliance with project specifications and standards.

Coordinate stakeholder management, maintaining clear and effective communication with all project stakeholders.

Ensure the rigorous implementation of safety protocols, promoting a culture of safety throughout the construction site.

Oversee the proper management of the corporate base camp, civil, mechanical, and electrical streams, ensuring efficient and effective execution.

Lead the project team, providing guidance and support to ensure the achievement of project milestones.

Monitor and report on the progress of the construction activities to the Project Director and other stakeholders.

Identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges that may impact the project timeline or budget. Qualifications :

A minimum of 10 years of experience in managing large-scale industrial construction projects (with budgets of €200M or more).

Master or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction, or related field.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team of professionals.

Comprehensive understanding and experience of EPC contracts
