Hire Up Staffing is hiring for a AR Collections/Certified Payroll Specialist for our Engineering and Testing Firm located in Fresno, CA.

Pay: $20.00-$21.00

Schedule: M-F 4 Hour days or MTW 8Hour days- Part time with potential to go full time.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Receivable Collections:

Conduct timely and effective collections activities on outstanding accounts receivable balances.

Communicate with customers via phone, email, and written correspondence to resolve payment discrepancies and facilitate timely payments.

Maintain accurate records of collection activities and update customer accounts accordingly.

Work collaboratively with other departments to address customer inquiries and resolve billing disputes.

Certified Payroll Administration:

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations regarding certified payroll reporting.

Review and verify payroll records to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Prepare and submit certified payroll reports in accordance with regulatory requirements and project specifications.

Coordinate with project managers and subcontractors to obtain necessary payroll documentation and certifications.

Financial Reporting and Analysis:

Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports related to accounts receivable and payroll activities.

Analyze AR aging reports and payroll data to identify trends, forecast cash flow, and mitigate risk.

Collaborate with finance team members to develop strategies for improving collections performance and payroll efficiency.

Process Improvement:

Identify opportunities for process improvements within the AR collections and certified payroll functions.

Implement best practices and automation tools to streamline workflows and enhance productivity.

Participate in cross-functional projects to enhance overall finance and accounting operations.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.

2+ years of experience in accounts receivable collections and/or certified payroll administration.

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel).

Knowledge of certified payroll regulations and prevailing wage requirements.

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
