Hydrology Civil Engineer

We are looking for a highly motivated Civil Engineer to join our team at our Pleasanton office. Candidates with 5-10 years hands-on experience in storm drain system design, surface hydrology, and closed-conduit/open-channel hydraulics for land development and public infrastructure projects are encouraged to apply. Prior work experience in large scale master planned land development, and drainage and flood control are mandatory.

Land development and public infrastructure drainage design experience in California is highly desirable.

Demonstrated expertise with civil engineering terms, methods, and principles is mandatory. Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil3D, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel is mandatory.

Extensive knowledge of rainfall-runoff simulation and 1-D/2-D hydraulic modeling highly regarded.

Adeptness in storm drainage, flood control and water system design and analysis utilizing Army Corps HEC models, SWMM, XPStorm, and WaterCAD Version 8i would be extremely desirable.

Excellent written and oral skills are required. Strong technical writing skills are desirable.

Demonstrated leadership expertise is essential.

The successful candidate will be highly proficient project engineer with proven project management experience. Successful candidate will also be internally motivated individual who thrives in a team orientated, client driven work environment. B.S. in Civil Engineering or related field from an ABET accredited university is required. Registration as a Professional Civil Engineer in California is mandatory. Must be authorized to work in the United States.

The anticipated pay range for this role is expected to be between $50-62/hour for the Pleasanton, CA location and based on a variety of factors such as skills and experience.
