Central Transport, LLC, is a leader in LTL (less-than-truckload) transportation for more than 90 years is currently seeking a Claims Manager at our Corporate Office in Warren, MI. We are in search of an experienced, computer savvy individual who is ready to take the next step in their career. This role is a critical position to managing the Claims department which analyzes various types of freight, handling missing and oversized shipments, and customer perception of our organization.
Please note that this is an IN-PERSON role, located at our company headquarters in Warren, MI.
As a Claims Manager, you must have leadership experience and be able to work on site each day (Monday – Friday). Our managers have superior computer and ‘people’ skills and are able to handle a variety of scenarios with the ability to think on their feet. Job Responsibilities:
Manage claims email queue and distribution of cargo claims workload
Review and approve all claims > $100
Resolve escalated claim disputes and aging claims
Represent CT in all cargo claim legal disputes
Address errors causing cargo claims and initiate corrective action
Analyze claims data, identify high volume claim customers/areas, and initiate corrective action
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
3 or more years of LTL Operations experience
Assertive personality
Knowledge of NMFC and Tariffs
Strong leadership qualities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Problem solving ability
