A Senior Manufacturing Engineer with 3+ years’ professional experience in heavy equipment manufacturing is needed. The Senior Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating manufacturing processes/projects, responding to manufacturing issues that arise, and ensuring products are produced according to specifications and on schedule while ensuring resources are used efficiently. The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will oversee the design of production machinery and will identify and recommend solutions to production problems related to materials, processes, and tooling.

This is a relocation to South Dakota (no state income tax). Relocation expenses will be paid by employer for exceptionally qualified candidates. Only those currently authorized to work within the United States without restriction or special consideration will be considered.

Senior Manufacturing Engineer Responsibilities:

Plan, direct, and coordinate manufacturing processes and projects in the plant.

Oversee design of production machinery and recommends solutions to production problems.

Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods under the direction of Manufacturing Engineering Manager.

Establish bills of material, manufacturing routings, and new work centers.

Design tools and machines for manufacturing products.

Maintain knowledge of new manufacturing technology and implements new processes.

Confer with customers, engineering staff, and vendors to ensure efficient production methods and equipment purchases.

Senior Manufacturing Engineer Requirements:

B.S. degree in Engineering related field.

Held a position of meadership in a manufacturing setting.

3+ years of fabrication and welding experience preferred.

3+ years of experience in process development, tooling design, and workstation layout.

3+ years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer preferred.

Excellent mechanical aptitude, communication, and computer skills required.

Proficiency in CAD software.
