The Partner, M&A will join MNP’s Corporate Finance team.

Key Responsibilities Lead Corporate Finance engagements, while setting strategic direction for the local team in alignment with firm-wide goals.

Review high-quality deliverables including engagement letters, Confidential Information Memorandums, buyer lists, reports, presentations, and correspondence.

Lead engagement planning and scheduling as well as project financials (budgets, WIP, timely billing, collection, variance recognition). Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and partners.

Act as a senior point of contact for high-profile clients, providing strategic advice and guidance on complex M&A transactions.

Stay informed of market trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape to identify potential M&A opportunities and threats.

Utilize this information to advise clients and shape the firm's M&A strategy.

Proactively seek new business opportunities by identifying potential acquisition targets or companies looking to sell.

This involves networking, attending industry events, and leveraging personal and professional contacts.

Lead complex negotiations, structuring deals in a way that maximizes value for clients while minimizing risks.

This includes determining deal terms, pricing, and financing structures.

Work closely with other departments within the firm, such as legal, tax, and advisory services, to ensure a holistic approach to M&A transactions.

Facilitate cross-functional teams to address all aspects of a deal.

Oversee the identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks associated with M&A activities.

Ensure that all transactions comply with applicable laws, regulations, and best practices.

Contribute to the firm's intellectual capital through speaking engagements, publishing articles, and participating in industry panels.

Act as an expert in the field of M&A, enhancing the firm's reputation and visibility.

Focus on attracting, developing, and retaining top talent within the M&A team.

Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth, ensuring the team has the skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.

Leverage technology and innovative approaches to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of M&A processes.

Qualifications CPA or CFA designation.

CBV designation is considered an asset.

15 years of experience in the transaction advisory services sector assisting clients with merger, acquisitions and divestitures.

Extensive experience in financial analysis and modeling.

Strong business and practice development skills.

Proven people management, relationship building and leadership skills.

Strong strategic planning and conceptual thinking skills.
