Position Summary:

This sales support role provides the opportunity to learn and experience different aspects of the business cycle and interactions between departments and customers. The Sales Support Representative will be responsible for performing functions associated with Vendor Management Inventory, Warehouse, and Will Call based on business needs. These opportunities enhance and grow awareness of how that area contributes to achieving business results and providing the opportunity to learn and experience different aspects of the business cycle while developing a greater awareness of the interactions between department areas and customers.

Expectations:

Execute exceptional customer service through the coordination and communication of quotes and orders with sales and customers directly as needed.

Efficiently manage transactions related to maintaining customer inventories on a routine schedule.

Develop an understanding of the customer inventory trends to anticipate the customer needs along with maintaining stock levels that are efficient for SSET and the customer.

Maintain departmental metrics.

Work with Sales to execute strategies for accounts.

Work with Customer Relations Team to fulfill orders.

Develop a thorough understanding of the AutoCrib equipment including maintenance and troubleshooting.

Work with the warehouse to schedule deliveries effectively.

Maintain company truck according to maintenance schedule.

Perform daily cycle counting.

Accurately receive, put-away, pick, pack, and ship product.

Perform returns inspections and processing of non-conforming material.

Troubleshoot fulfillment issues as they occur.

Work independently, with oversight focused only on complex, new assignments.

Ability to work in a fast paced, multi-tasked work environment.

Adhere to all regulatory requirements placed on department or facility.

Support and guide workforce safety.

Propose process improvements.

Build trust and rapport with the varying levels of customers.

Participate in appropriate training, networking, and learning opportunities to foster professional and personal growth e.g.,

Develop and grow technical competency both in product knowledge and in customer applications through online training, educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and establishing personal networks.

Offer input to market planning, key industry developments and product/service commercialization.

Understand company strategy and effectively implements tactics to achieve key organizational objectives.

Position Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree, or 3 years of related work experience.

Experience:

Experience including but not limited to small parts warehouse, route sales, and/ or inventory management.

Familiarity with the use of hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other necessary warehouse equipment preferred.

Ability to operate a forklift skillfully and safely preferred.

Swagelok product technical knowledge a plus

SAP experience a plus

Scope of Position:

Physical Requirements: Various office & warehouse environments. While performing the duties of this job, the following are required: good vision – must be able to sustain effective visual examination of work over an 8-hour shift. Lifting – may lift to 50 pounds frequently. Manual Dexterity – must demonstrate manual dexterity required to properly handle products, tools, and gauges. Sitting/Standing – May be required to sit or stand 8 hours per day. Must be able to move through the shop to pick components, move samples, and maneuver around assemblies.
